The outgoing General Manager, Radio Nigeria Equity FM Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Sani Bello Ismail, has appealled for support and cooperation of the staff as accorded to him during the period his stay as the General Manager in ensuring more service delivery to the people of Kebbi State.
The General Manager who made the appeal in his remark while handingover the station to the new General Manager, Alhaji Yahaya Balarabe, thanked the entire staff for their effort and dedication towards dischaging their responsibilies and as well the support accorded to him.
Alhaji Bello Ismail, disclosed that, in the last three years of his stay, the station has generated revenue of over Thirty Seven Million naira despite some challenges faced by the station.
He explains that, the station was equiped with two 20 kilo watts transmitters but only one is functional and the other has been uninstalled due to the removal of vital components by the kaduna Zonal station which they used to repair that of Pride FM Gusau in Zamfara State.
According to him after pressure to both the Zonal Station and the Headquarters Abuja, a modern and portable 10kilo watts transmitter was provided but still not in use as its Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) has been delivered but not installed.
He said that, presently the station is using an android phone to receive network news online for the teeming listeners of the state as a result of the faulty of the station’s network receiver (dish) since the third quarter of 2020.
In a remark, the new General Manager, Alhaji Yahaya Balarabe, solicited for the support and cooperation of the staff as accorded to the outgoing General Manager.
He assured to do his best in ensuring that, the services of the station has satisfaction to the people of the state as it is and as well operate an open door policy to the entire staff of the station.
