The Newly appointed vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutsenma professor  Armaya’u Hamisu Bichi says his Administration would put more emphasis in the area of information communication technology with the aim of taking the image of the school to greater hight.
Professor Armaya’u Hamisu stated this while briefing journalists in Kano.
He said since the approval of his appointment by president Mohammad Buhari, He had set the ball rolling in providing modern tecniques in ensuring that the ICT department has been upgraded so that students of the university can complete with their counterparts globally.
“our teaching process at FUDMA is E-learning because lecturers do upload lecture notes on internet for students to download,we do alot of activities online which makes our students ahead of other universities who operates analog”
Professor Armaya’u Hamisu maintained that  before his appointment as acting vice Chancellor two years ago,the university had only three Faculties,but before the spam of two years the Faculties had been increased to seven Faculties,while programmes running in the university had been increased from 23 to 60 programmes which have full accreditation.
“interms of training and retraining of staff,we are fully committed in ensuring that the university has Excell in that direction,right now over 60 of our staff are currently undergoing different courses within and outside the country, through TETFUND, we are very greatful to Mr President for the kind gesture”
The vice Chancellor explained that the University is giving special consideration to people with special needs,targeted at carrying them along to have easy access to education.
“We are very lucky to have a very listening minister of education malam Adamu Adamu ,he has been very keen in the development of the new universities so that we come of age,and compete with other universities nationwide”
Professor Armaya’u Hamisu noted that alot of legitimate avenues had been introduced by his Administration in boosting the revenue generation of drive of the university.
He added that currently the university is discussing with some private individuals who have shown interest to construct students hostels through private partnership, Aimed at solving the challenge of students Accommodation in the university.
