Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency has awarded forty six Ward Heads selected across the twenty local governments of state, for their outstanding performance in improving children’s access to routine immunization.
The 2019 award ceremony which was organized in collaboration with Bauchi State Emirate Councils Committee on Health, BASECOH, had in attendance representatives of the six Emirate Councils, Programme Managers, Development Partners among other stakeholders in the health sector.
Addressing the Awardees, the Chairman of BASECOH and Emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman urged them to see the honour done them as a morale booster.
Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman appreciated the Ward Heads for their support in ensuring that children access health care services being delivered across the state.
He commended the State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad and development partners for their resilience in the health sector.
The State Executive Chairman Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Muhammad expressed concern that most of those who were awarded twenty eighteen were not in the list for the last year award.
Representatives of World Health Organization (WHO), United states Agency for International Development (USAID), United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) reiterated their readiness toward supporting the state at all times, particularly in the area of healthcare service delivery.
