The new emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, Alh. Sanusi Muhammad Asha has conferred a title of SADAUKIN KAURA MAMODA to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai.
The COAS Receives the title during a courtesy call to the emir who was a Senior military officer in the Nigerian Army, to congratulate and condole him for demise of the late emir Muhammad Ahmad Asha.
Lt. Gen. Buratai visited the emirate while on operation visit to Northwest for ascertain the level of preparedness of the Nigerian Army in curtailing security challenges in the region.
While congratulating the emir, he Charged him to be bold and justify the trust reposed in him and also to vindicate the good training he acquired from the Nigerian army while in service.
On his part, the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alh. Sanusi Muhammad Asha who rose to the rank of major in the Nigerian army, expresses gladness for the visit which he described as first of its kind in the history of the Emirate, saying the chief of army staff has been a good mentor and a leader worthy of emulation and deserves all honour and decorations.
The emir recalled some of the stewardship of the COAS and urged him to maintain the tempo.
Emir Sanusi also presented gifts to the COAS, Lt. Gen Buratai; General officer Commanding 8 Division Maj. Gen. Aminu Bande, One Brigade Commander, Brig. Gen. O.M. Bello among others.
