The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, PMG-MAN, has donated items worth 20million Naira to the Presidential Task Force on COVID19.

Presenting the items, the Executive secretary of the Group, Mr Frank Imoneme said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility in the fight against COVID19.

While commending the PTF for the hard work so far in response to COVID19, Mr Imoneme used the opportunity to thank the President Muhammadu Buhari’s led Government for the support been given to the Manufacturing sector which he said was essential to economic development.

He said in the wake of the Global pandemic which has crippled many economies, it was high time for the country to look inwards by creating platforms to encourage small businesses.

The items donated are made-in-Nigeria Pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical products such as hand sanitizers, vitamin-c, rice, vegetable oil, noodles and beverages in different quantities.

Receiving the items, the National co-ordinator of the task force, Dr. Sani Aliyu applauded the efforts of the Association urging other groups to assist in the fight against the virus in similar ways.

DRAliyu therefore promised to channel the items to the appropriate places and persons.
