A coalition of youth under the aegies of Concern Nigerlites has staged a peaceful protest in Niger state over what they described as incessant killing of people in the North by armed bandits.

The protest which was led by state Chairman of NLC Comrade Yakubu Garba and the convener Comrade Mohd Bello started from Central mosque to the Emirs palace Minna.

The group presented a letter of passionate appeal seeking quick intervention on the matter to Emir of Minna for onward conveyance to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governnor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state.

In his remarks Emir of Minna Alh Umar Faruk Bahago stressed the need for them to be patient as both Federal and Niger state government are doing their best to tackle the problem of insecurity to enhance it’s quest for food security in Nigeria.

The Emir who promised to convey their message to relevant authority would also wants them to continue to support government effort at all time to succeed.

NLC Chairman Comrade Yakubu Garba said he led the protest to ensure that it does not degenerate so that only youths with genuine interest at heart partake in the protest aimed at reminding governments at all level to rise to the challenges of safeguarding lives and properties of its people.

Comrade Yakubu Garba who charged politicians to show more commitment in providing workable solution to the problem also called for prayers by both Muslims and Christians clergy to overcome such problems.

Convener of the protest Comrade Mohd Bello reminded both Federal and Niger state government of negative repacaution of allowing the problem to degenerate to include food shortage economic meltdown as well as humanitarian crisis among others and called on all hands to be on deck.

The youths who turn out in their large number wearing blacks carrying placards with inscription There is no security in Rafi Munya is grumbling our mothers and sisters are being raped and enough of incessant killings Armed bandits have taken over our farm land ended peacefully.

Our Correspondent in Minna reports that the peaceful protest took place simultaneously in all the nineteen Northern state governments.
