In an effort to revive economic activities in Kano state,the state government has commences fumigation of Kano based industries aimed of ensuring that the revenue generation drive of the state is maintained despite the Covid 19 pandemic.
The commissioner for environment Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso state this during the Flagg off of the fumigation exercise at a tannery company at challawa industrial estate Kano.u
Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso explained that following the meeting held with the state governor and captains of industries at government house,Government had approved to reopened industries in the state with the mandate of observing covid 19 protocols.
He said Government would fumigates all companies based in challawa industrial estate,targeted at ensuring that the companies were free of covid 19,as well as the safety of the workers.
The commissioner maintained that reopening the companies would play a vital role in reviving the livelihood of the people coupled with addressing economic challenges in Kano state.
Getso urged the general populace to Accord maximum support to the state government aimed at ensuring that the stated Goals were Achieved.
In a remark the group General manager of the Tannery company Mr Faddul Attar said the commencement of the fumigation exercise was very timely especially at this period that the companies were warming up for production.
He commended the efforts of the state government for the foresight in taking the needed measures before reopening industries in the state.
