Kebbi state Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has said his administration recently awarded contracts about three billion naira for rehabilitation and provision of additional facilities in primary as well as Junior secondary schools across the state.
He made this disclosure in statewide live broadcast to mark Democracy Day celebration in Birnin Kebbi.
Alhaji Bagudu said In both education and health, the state is increasing its investment.
He said in the health sector, the state had rehabilitated 140 Primary Healthcare Centres in collaboration with UNICEF in different wards across the state.
He reminded the public that development was a gradual and painful process which the residents must endure to achieve a developed Kebbi state.
GovernorBagudu noted that the state is collaborating with the private sector to provide jobs for the teeming youths.
The governor stated that the state government had initiated inclusive development programme geared towards rapid development of the state.
