Code of Conduct Bureau has commenced monitoring of the distribution of the COVID-19 Social intervention packages across the country.
Chairman, CCB, Prof. Mohammed Isah stated this in a press release made available to newsmen in Kaduna.
He explained that it is in line with the agency’s mandate to enforce adherence to the Code of Conduct for Public office holders.
“The agency will also ensure that the palliatives get to the target polulation without abuse of the process”. He said.
Prof. Mohammed Isah explained that the
Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Distaster Management had earlier invited the CCB to assist in the monitoring of the distribution of the palliatives and school feeding programme as well as conditional cash transfer.
He further explainef that the bureau also set up six teams which will visit the six geopolitical zones of the country and headed by the Federal Commissioners representing each of the zones as well as the 36 states of the federation to interface with the direct beneficiaries of the scheme.
