Borno state Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum has confirmed the killing of Eighty one people while thirteen others were injured following Boko Haram attack on Faduma Kolomdi village of Gubio local government area of the state.
The Governor confirmed this to Radio Nigeria shortly after a sympathy visit to the area to commisarate with the remaining survivors of the attack.
According to him seven people including the ward Head have been abducted by insurgents during the Tuesday afternoon attack.
The Governor promised to relocate the remaining survivors to safer locations where their security can be guarantee and directed for the immediate evacuation of the the injured to State Specialists Hospital for proper medical attentions.
Professor Zulum launded the security operatives for their efforts towards the restoration of peace to the state and urged them to intensify offensive against the Insurgents especially along the shores of Lake Chad where the Insurgents usually hibernate to carrying out daring attacks.
He later visited the shallow grave where the mass burial of the victims of the terrorists attack were conducted and offer prayers for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased.
Kano Daily gathered that the insurgents carted away undisclosed number of domestic animals and other valuable belonging to the victims after the broad daylight attack.
