The entire class of 2004 BUK mourns the death of one of their own; Bashir Nabegu.
He was very popular during his University days at the prestigious Bayero University, Kano.
A tall, fair and handsome, he was liked by everyone because of his manners and behaviour. He was a straight forward and jovial person.
During the course of his four years stay at the University, he was a friend to almost all his colleagues. I can’t remember at any time Nabegu being found wanting in terms of personal relationship with his mates.
Even though we didn’t meet since we left the University, we learnt that he joined the Nigerian Prison Service as an officer.
We received the news of his death with total shock, but we quickly reminded ourself that every soul most one day answer the call of his Lord.
We pray to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings Of Bashir Nabegu and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
