Some gun men suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents have attached Dapchi town the headquoters of Bursari local government of Yobe state on Monday evening.
According to an eye witness, the gun men stormed the town around 6pm when people were preparing to break their fast shooting sporadically.
He said the insurgents set ablaze the district head palace, break shops and carted away with food items. There is no specific number of casualties as officials are yet to make any statement.
It could be recall that in 2018, the Boko Haram insurgents attacked Government Girls Technical college Dapchi where they kidnapped over one hundred students. All the students were released except Leah Sheribu who is still in captivity.
