Presenting the face masks on Wednesday in Kaduna, the branch chairman of the association, Mr William Anthony, said the donation was part of the activities to mark the World Nurses Day.
Anthony said that the gesture was part of social responsibility of the association, especially during the pandemic period.
He said, “We are making this donation as part of our activities to celebrate the nurses week.
We understand how important it is for other health care workers to use face masks in the health facility in keeping them safe.”
Receiving the items, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Abdulkadir Musa-Tabari, said the donation would go a long way in assisting the hospital, as patients came in regularly for appointments.
Musa-Tabari said that all measures in ensuring safety were to be strictly adhered to as the hospital looked forward to the resumption of normal hospital services, so as to avoid people dying of other treatable disease.
He thanked NANNM members for their kind gesture toward the safety of its members in particular and the hospital community at large.
