As part of efforts towards curbing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the Nigerian Army has donated Personal Protective Equipment and other kits to the Lagos State Government
Presenting the items, the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai in a message said the Army remained resolute in supporting the Federal government and the state in curbing the spread of the pandemic.

the Federal and Lagos State governments in curbing community spread in Lagos state being the epicenter of Covid19 in the country.
Lieutenant General Buratai who commended Lagos State government in its approach said the donation was part of Nigerian Army’s social Responsibility as well as the continuation of its drive to strengthen civil-military relationship,
Responding, Governor Babajide Sanwo who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr OLUSEGUN OGBOYE, thanked the Army for the donation towards the fight against COVID-19
Governor Sanwo Olu who was Impressed that the items were locally made and unique said that the items would be used judiciously.
Senior officers including the Commander 9th brigade, Brigadier General Musa Etsu Ndagi were at the event
The items donated to Lagos state by the Nigerian Army were produced by the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria operated by the Armed Forces.
