The state Deputy Governor and Chairman Task Force Committee on Covid 19 Dr Emmanuel Akabe stated this at a press briefing in Lafia.
Dr. Emmanuel Akabe said the four women who were intercepted in Lafia on arrival from Covid 19 high risk states were quarantined at the state Polytechnic Lafia to ascertain their Covid 19 status.
He stated that as part of measures to decongest the quarantine centre at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia,more holding centres have been created in all the 13 local government areas of the state to quarantine returnees to the state.
Over 200 hundred people comprising of destitute children also called Almajiri and returnees from Lagos and Kano states who had been quarantined in a hostel at the Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia staged a protest over alleged non feeding and neglect.
Four persons escaped during the protest.
